Fibre Channel
Besides IP- and SONET-based solutions, Champion ONE offers pluggable optics and optical transport solutions for those running Fibre Channel protocol.  Fibre Channel is used in SAN (Storage Area Networking) deployments, and while still based on industry-standard transceivers, the optics and filters must not add extra latency to the connection.  Therefore it is critical to deploy an optical solution from a vendor that is aware of the unique needs of a Fibre Channel network.
